Featured Work: Jane and Syndrome

I have an unrelenting motivation to capture the sum of my subjects life with one picture.  A daunting pursuit that I can only travel mark by mark.

Jane and Syndrome are two examples of the differing approaches that I have taken to compose my portraits. A minimal approach: Jane, and surplus approach: Syndrome. The amount of information that I render is unique to each piece and can only be explained as serendipitous.

The amount of background information that I incorporate is also dependent on the sentiment needing to be evoked.  Present in many of my pieces are encircling structures representative of the inner networks, (e.g. molecules/DNA) present in the human body. The thin line between artistic license and accurate representation is a serpentine path that I often have to journey through.
